Paul Armstrong – Head Coach (parmstrong13@hotmail.com)
Paul has an extensive background in competitive swimming. He competed at the Regional, Provincial and National levels for over 14 years. Paul did his first 3 years of coaching with the Lasers as the Head Age Group coach. He then spent 6 years with the South Western Aquatics swim team as Head Coach. Paul has been coaching competitive swimmers for over 10 years, has produced both Provincial and National champions and has been recognized by Swimming Canada for his coaching excellence. Paul is excited to rejoin the Lasers and is very optimistic about the future of the team.
Meghan Whittaker
Meghan has been involved with competitive swimming for over 11 years. She swam at the provincial and regional levels for the Lasers for 7 years. After high school, Meghan attended Minnesota State University in Mankato where she was swam for the MSU Mavericks for 4 years. While in Minnesota, she was a coach with the Mavericks learn to swim program as well as one of the coaches of a swim camp for high school athletes put on by the Mavericks swim team. Meghan is very excited to be back in Saskatoon and coaching with the Lasers this year.
Kelsey Doucette
This will be the 7th yeah that Kelsey Doucette has been a coach as part of the Lasers swim team. She started coaching at the age of fourteen, but has been swimming with the Lasers since she was ten. Kelsey finished her competitive swimming two years ago, but her love of the sport and the Lasers has led her to continue being a part of the team as a coach. Outside of swimming, Kelsey is a second year nursing student here in Saskatoon.
Geoff Waugh
Geoff has been a competitive swimmer in Saskatchewan for 10 years, 9 of them being with the Lasers, and has competed at a variety of competitions within the sport including Man/Sask, Westerns, Age Group Nationals, and the 2009 Canada Summer Games. At the games, Geoff was captain of the mens swim team. Love of the sport, and an opportunity to help out on deck and in the water is what brought him back to coach with the Lasers. Apart from coaching, Geoff is a student at the University of Saskatchewan.
